Who Took the Book? (Frank and Joe Hardy. the Clues Brothers, No 6)
Published in Paperback by Minstrel Books (May, 1998)
Average review score:

iT IS JUST LIKE ANY BOOK THAT DIXON WRITES: FANTASTICIT IS A GREAT MYSTERY, I HAVE THROUGHLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK I HAVE ALWAYS PICTURE MYSELF GOING ON THESE MYSTERIES WITH THEM
Really goodThis book was funny. I got it 6 days ago. Here's the big question: IS FRANK HARDY A THIEF?? No way! But somebody's making it look as if he is. A really cool book on baseball statistics was stolen from the school library. Now it's made a sudden and surprising comeback-in Frank's backpack! Frank and Joe have a pretty good batting average when it comes to solving mysteries. But this one is no fun, because if Frank gets the blame, he'll miss his basketball team's first game of the season! The ending is funny when Wendy, the thief, and also the girl who has a crush on Joe, says she won't wear Love Is in the Air perfume anymore and Joe tells her not to have a crush on him until they were in high school. I think that's weird. How come in The Hardy Boys series she wasn't mentioned? I mean they are in high school! Everyone else was mentioned except for the bullies.

The WolfhoundA wonderful, simple story of peasant boy that saves dog owned by aristocrat and the boy's reward. The illustrations are absolutely luminous and well worth the low price of the book. If you collect children's books, dog books, or want a first dog book for a child, buy this book.

Abandoned: The Story of the Greely Arctic Expedition 1881-1884
Published in Paperback by Univ of Alaska Pr (July, 2001)
Average review score:

A gripping, true life accountIn Abandoned, Alden Todd tells the complete story of the Greely Arctic Expedition (1881-1884) which was launched as part of the United State's participation in the first International Polar Year. Commanded by Adolphus W. Greely, the expedition consisted of twenty-five volunteers who went to what is now Ellesmere Island in the Canadian High Arctic. The men were left to endure short rations and unbroken isolation at their icy base when the first ship to resupply them in 1882 was forced to turn back. The second relief ship (sent in 1883) was crushed in the ice. In 1884, the six survivors of the original twenty-five man crew were finally rescued and brought home. The national excitement of their return was scandalized as rumors of cannibalism during their dreadful, final winter became supported by grisly evidence of cannibalism. Abandoned is a gripping, true life account and history of men battling for their very lives as they are pitted against the elements and each other. Out of print for more than forty years, this University of Alaska Press trade paperback edition is also available in hardcover [...] and highly recommended, dramatic reading.

Address Book (Old Fashioned Keepbook)
Published in Hardcover by Tree Communications (February, 1981)

Address Book (Old Fashioned Keepbook)My copy of this is literally falling apart. I have tried to replace it over the years with ANY comparable book but there are no others, that I can find, that have: the ample size, the generous number of pages and beautiful, interesting illustrations. I don't want a boring address book. THIS is the best one I've seen in the over-15 years I've been searching for a replacement. Linda, PLEASE RE-PUBLISH THIS ONE!

American Business, 1920-2000: How It Worked (The American History Series)
Published in Paperback by Harlan Davidson (March, 2000)
Average review score:

Excellent reference for academic use or personal enjoymentI read this book for business school and enjoyed it thoroughly enough to recommend it to friends and family who are interested in the recent history of business. This book documents the major events and themes in American Business during the past 80 years. The writing gives enough detail without being boring. In addition, I found it interesting to see how certain themes persist through time proving that history does repeat itself. The book is a very quick read and provides the reader with enough information on each era. After that, the reader can use the suggested reading list to learn more about the subjects, eras and people that might interest him/her. Overall, a great read.

American Indians: The Lost Field Notes of Franklin R. Johnston's Life and Work Among the
Published in Hardcover by First Glance Books (August, 1998)
Average review score:

Outstanding early research on American IndiansThis is truly an outstanding book both in presentation and content. It gives a first hand look at American Indian culture and history. Franklin Johnston was one original contributors to the South West Indian museum, he is credited with many first discovers as well as being one of the few white men to have a personal relationship with several of the last great Chiefs. Many of the pictures in the book are published for the first time from his extensive archives making this a must for anyone interested in the American Indians.
